The Project

Towards the end of 2019 Creatomatic were invited to tender for a completely new website project for Luminate, Scotland’s creative ageing organisation. Luminate works year round to develop and deliver creative activities with and for older people, and had recently been awarded funding to set up a Dementia Inclusive Singing Network.

The aim, to offer support to choirs across Scotland to ensure that people living with dementia and their carers have the opportunity to sing in a choir in their local area.

The Result

Layout, navigation, colour and contrast, text and language, fonts and spacing, images and audio-visual content were all key considerations for Zoe in the design process.

Focus groups were used to gauge response and test the designs, with feedback positive across the board – a really interesting process, invaluable to the success of the project.

This was certainly a new one for the team, with some extremely useful takeaways for future projects. Excited to hear how the network grows over time, good luck guys!
